Welcome to my blog!
God made you for a purpose. There was some grand plan He had in mind when creating you. Maybe you are meant to be a great singer, or work with kids, or go on mission trips, or maybe be a stay at home mom and minister to your children. He gave you specific talents and abilities to go along with your purpose. For me, I really like to talk, read, gather information, and write down what I’m thinking. As a result, it makes me a great writer. However, certain things are more difficult for me. I get queasy, and couldn’t work in the criminal field as a result, despite how much I want to see the justice system work. I wasn’t made to work in that field, but I can do great sitting at home alone just typing out the wisdom God’s given me, and I love to do so. Granted, I procrastinate like nobody’s business, but I know this is what God meant for me to do. (Or at least a big part of it! Writing about God’s word and the lessons He taught/teaches me ties in there somewhere.) Maybe you don’t know about the talents you possess or don’t see how the heck it could clue into something bigger. Like maybe you’re really good at Hula-hooping. How the heck is that supposed to help build the Kingdom of God? Well, you could volunteer to work with kids, maybe bring a few extra Hula-Hoops and have some fun teaching them how to do it. You could enter a Hula-hooping contest and donate the money to a charity/the Church. Even if your talents and abilities seem random and displaced, God gave them to you for a reason. Whatever you can do, you can do it for the Kingdom of God. I can give an hour and half every weekend to pour into the little kids and teach them about Jesus. I can take some time out of my week to mentor somebody because I care about their future and who they are becoming, and God cares about that, too. I can do whatever God has asked me to do, because He’s given me the qualifications to do so. I didn’t think I could work with kids, or be “spiritual” enough to mentor someone, but God put both of those things in my life, and I love each one of them greatly. I look forward to helping raise up kids at my Church in the Name of God. It makes me very happy to think that I get the opportunity to do such a thing! And those kids adore you, they are so happy to see you, and appreciate everything you do for you. It’s really amazing, working in the kids ministry, and I encourage you to do so! Back to purpose, God’s given you the ability to do what He’s called you. I would challenge you, if you don’t know what that is, to go along with whatever you do naturally and also love, even if it doesn’t seem that “big”. I didn’t think writing could be much bigger than a blog, but it leads to a book, working on a magazine, etc.! I could do countless things with this small gift, and glorify God in so many different ways! You may have something you think is very small, but trust me darling, God can most definitely make something huge out of something so seemingly so small. It’s like a penny that doubles in value, it doesn’t look that incredible at first, but after about a month you’ll have a million dollars! Lastly, you’re worth it. Don’t think whatever you have to offer God is too little or small, God can use it, no matter what it is. No matter who you think you are, God can use you in big ways. Trust me on that, darling!
You are LOVED!! Thanks for reading and God bless you, Melody

Melody C.God has given me the natural talent as a writer. I felt Him encourage me in the direction of using my natural skill in writing for Him, instead of investing in skills that were basically going to waste. I have been writing my whole life. I love to answer questions, give advice, and share experiences. I hope you enjoy it, and I pray that God speaks through me and to you. If there are ever any typos, please ignore them. They will be fixed as soon as I notice them. Archives
